I’m Mrs. De-Moraes, and I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of this wonderful school since June 2024. My journey with science and teaching began all the way in Brazil, where I grew up with a deep passion for science from a very young age. I was fortunate to have amazing teachers who encouraged me to work hard and pursue my dream of becoming a scientist.
I was accepted into a prestigious university in Brazil, where I studied Biological Sciences and fell even more in love with the field. During my time at university, I was offered a young scientist position, which gave me the chance to work in research, lecture at national conferences, and teach environmental education. That experience truly sparked my passion for teaching science.
After a lot of hard work, I earned a full scholarship to study at the University of Liverpool as part of an exchange program. Once I completed my exchange and finished my Biology BSc degree in Brazil, I decided to move permanently to the UK. It wasn’t long before I set my sights on becoming a science teacher, and I eventually earned my teaching degree from the University of Chester.
I firmly believe that teaching is one of the most important jobs in the world. Every day brings new joys, and I hope to inspire my students the way my teachers once inspired me. I’m passionate about showing my students that hard work can lead to amazing opportunities, and I look forward to helping them discover their own love for science.
