I studied Theatre at the London College of Music, where I developed my passion for
performance and storytelling. After graduating, I worked as an actress and performer for
eight years, appearing in various Shakespearean plays and musicals. This experience
deepened my appreciation for the power of language and its impact on audiences. Wanting
to share this passion, I pursued my PGCE at Edge Hill University and transitioned into
teaching. As an educator, I’m driven by a desire to inspire students to not only love literature
but also understand the power of language and rhetoric. I want my students to grasp how
language shapes the world around them, and how it is used to influence thought and
opinion, empowering them to think critically and use language effectively.
