From an early age, I have always been passionate about making a positive impact on people’s lives. This initially led me to pursue a career in design, studying Interactive Media Design at Northumbria University. After graduating, I worked as a UX Designer in the travel industry for five years, where I focused on improving user experiences and creating impactful digital solutions.
However, teaching had always been in the back of my mind, particularly after volunteering at schools in Sierra Leone. In 2020, I decided to follow my long-standing ambition to teach, studying a PGDE in Secondary Computing Education at Birmingham City University while training as an IT teacher at King's Leadership Academy Warrington. Four years on, my passion for making a difference in young people's lives has only deepened.
Now, as Head of IT at the school, I am committed to inspiring students to explore careers in design and computing. Additionally, I am a Pilot Officer with the RAF Air Cadets at the academy, and I’m particularly enthusiastic about the opportunities both the Cadets and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award provide for our students.
In my spare time, I enjoy running, hiking, and going to the gym.
