Mrs D Roxby

Receptionist

My role as one of the Kings Warrington receptionists is very fast paced, busy and varied.  No two days are the same, which is what I love.  In a nutshell I greet all school visitors and answer phone calls and emails, dealing with visitor and parent queries.   A big part of my job is helping and supporting pupils with any issues they have.

I have worked front of house in several different industries throughout my working life in both the public and private sector. I am qualified to AAT level in accountancy and have also been involved in facilities management but always find myself coming back to what I love, being front of house meeting and greeting, being very much a people person at heart. After working with young people for several years in various voluntary roles I finally joined the education sector as a receptionist here at Kings around four years ago. I genuinely wouldn’t work anywhere else.

When I’m not here on the front desk you will find me at the gym lifting weights or singing in a community or church choir.  I also share a passion for drama and the arts with my son and love nothing better than a trip to the theatre.  I work as an assistant tutor every Saturday morning at  (ACTS) Altrincham Creative Theatre  school. I am also an elected member of my local Parochial Church Council and the Youth Action Group.
