I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2006 with a Masters Degree in Biomedical Science and since then have enjoyed a range of jobs in science and outside of it, including working for a radio station where I made programmes, read the news and interviewed a range of interesting people. I trained as a teacher at Liverpool Hope University and am currently enjoying assisting the science department in producing engaging and high quality science lessons in my role as Senior Science Technician. I lead the gardening enrichment on Wednesday afternoons for year 8 pupils and it is great to see the King's garden quite literally growing in size every year.
I enjoy being creative and have written and acted in a couple of amateur dramatic productions in the last few years. My ambition is to eventually become an author – they say that everyone has one book inside them… but I’m hoping I’ve got more.
